~Owen - NMSAA
~Keegan - Overly cutesy IMO. I can't imagine an adult Keegan.
~Gabriel-Gabe - I don't like this at all. It doesn't have an appealing
sound IMO.
~Brendan-Brent - Well, of all the Bren/Bran names, I like this the best
(cuz I like the story of St. Brendan, even though I'm not Catholic), but
I don't understand why you'd call him Brent? And it still isn't my
style.
~Trey - I think this is fine as a third nickname (though I really like
Tres better), but I don't like when someone just uses it for no reason.
~Mickinley-Kinley - I like it spelled McKinley, and I actually like it
for a girl. I can at least see a male McKinley, but not a male Kinley.
That sounds really feminine to me.
~Brady - This is kind of cute. It's not a name I'd use, but it's not
bad either.
~William-Will/Liam - It's a good solid old name, but it's not my style.
~Dawson - Way too trendy and cutesy and teenagery.
~Elijah-Eli - LOVE Elijah. This is the top pick for dh and I right now.
I don't like the nn Eli though, I just love the full name.
~Brantley-Brant - I think this sounds kind of silly and pretentious.
~Caleb-Cale - Love Caleb. I think it's a great name for a child or an
adult. Don't like Cale at all. I think of nasty kale.
~Sawyer - This is cool I think!
~Dalton - This has been growing on me, but I still don't know if I like
it.
~Ian - Ian is great.
~Samuel-Sam - Samuel is really growing on me too. I'm not sure though.
I think I like it more as a middle name. Sam and Sammy are cute nns.
~Dillon - I hate this name. I'm sorry I am just getting sick of seeing
it. I have the cutest cousin named Dillon and I still can't like it.
~Charles-Cody/Charlie - Love Charles as a mn. Charlie is not too bad as
a nn. Cody is overly cutesy, IMO.
~Elisse-Lisse - I thin Elise is pretty. The extra 's' and Lisse look
too "prettified" for me.
~Sydney-Syd - Sydney is really cute! I like it. I wouldn't call her
Syd all the time, but it's not bad for an around-the-house nickname.
~Skylar-Kylie/Ky/Skye - I like Schuyler, but I don't like Skylar at all.
Kylie is kind of cute, but maybe too cutesy.
~Alexandria-Sasha - Don't care for Alex- names at all, and I've never
liked Sasha.
~Calissa-Lissa - Calissa is kind of pretty. I prefer Alyssa, but
Calissa could grow on me. I don't think I like Lissa though.
~Brenna - Very pretty!
~Talia-Lia - Talia doesn't have a pretty sound to me. I love the sound
of Lia, but prefer Leah.
~Gabrienna-Gabby/Brie - Gabrienna has finally grown on me. I like it a
lot. I wouldn't shorten it. Gabby is too silly of a nn, and Brie
doesn't do justice to the beauty in Gabrienna.
~Anastasia-Ana/Tasia/Nastasia - I've never like this at all.
~Aurora-Rory - Aurora is kind of pretty, but Rory is really hard on a
child, especially with a speach impediment.
~Sophia-Sophie - Sophia is so pretty. I don't like Sophie, but I'm sure
it will grow on me soon, as we are about to have one anyday at church.
~Sawyer - Not on a girl.
~Lauren - It's the best of the Laur- names, but not my style.
~Josephine-Josie/Joey - Really like Josie, but not Josephine or Joey.
~Laken-Lake - I like this!
~Amaia-Maia - I like Maia, but I don't care for Amaia.
~Victoria-Tori - Victoria has always sounded pretentious to me, and Tori
is the same type of nn.
~Gwendolyn-Gwen - I LOVE Gwen. Think it's beautiful. Love Guenevere,
Gwyneth, Gwenna, etc. Gwendolyn, on the other hand, has always sounded
fat to me.
~Alaura-Ally - I think Alaura is so prettty (think I prefer Alora, but
not sure). Ally seems to cheapen it somehow, though I do like
Ally (or Allie).
~Sinclair-Clair - This just sounds awful for a girl, IMO. And Clair
isn't my style.
