We can recomend this site after having some fun there this weekend:)
most of the action seems to go on late and in cars but we happen to
meet the most friendlest dogger going here.
If you head out of Bolton towards Blackburn on the A666 through the
village of Dimple you will encounter a minor road on your right
signposted Turton (B6391) -the road is called Greens Arms Road. It
first winds a little and then by looking to your left you will catch
sight of the reservoir. The first turning on the left will take you
over a cattle grid and down a tarmac lane to the first(top) car-park .
If you do not turn down thisone but proceed to the next left on the
B6391 and turn down there you will eventually come to a bridge across
the head of the reservoir - just before the bridge is another car-park
(on the right).. both cars parks had something going on and its worth
the trip

Hi, well I was there late on saturday night (midnightish), but didn't
see much going on. There was a couple in an Escort & some people in
having a "party" at the side of a Transit van, but that was it!!
Perhaps I arrived too late (or early) & missed all the fun!

we have never tried this before this week but are quite keen.
