finding "Unknown User" activities

I think I have seen this problem discussed here before but don't know if
a resolution was ever discovered.

After sitting in the database, inactive, for several weeks,
(months?), we have finally removed a user from one of our databases
since they changed departments.

Now that the deed is done, the manager has decided they want to pull up
any activities that user had scheduled so they can make sure to
follow-up
on them.

Is there a way to find activities that are still in the system but are
either not associated with a particular user or associated with the
"Unknown User"
