Uppland retirement villages

I have heard a few segments on retiring in Sweden on Radio Sweden, but
not much.It would be nice if there were a few more retirement programs.
I have contacted the Swedish Embassy for info and they gave us an email
address and web site( in Svenska, difficult for us to understand, only
understand 10% Svenska).
In the U.S. there are a FEW retirement villages that have everything
(shopping, hospital,recreation,etc) very close. No cars are needed as
there is public transportation .( an example is Sun City Fl.)
Are there any similar retirement villages in the Uppland region of
Sweden( north of Stockholm) served with excellent pubic transportation.
My wife and I are gathering info for our retirement in a number of
years. We would like to retire in the Uppland region of Sweden for 5
months of the year,but not have the expense and bother of owning a car.
We like nyckelharpa playing and Swedish folk music,fishing,hicking,and
museums. Maybe our 2 girls could visit us and take a few courses at
Uppsala University. Since Uppland is the birth place of nyckelharpa and
Uppsala University is an excellent university we thought this would be
a great place for our part year retirement.
Anyone with Uppland retirement village info please let us know.
