I have noticed that Sweden always seems to be number one when it comes
to helping people with health, child saftey and car saftey.
Radio Sweden has done a very good job of getting the word out about
Sweden's progressive programs. Just wish the US would catch up.
As a parent of two small kids I am concerned about my children's
saftey, especially while driving.
First let me say,I do not have any Volvo stock or have anything to do
with the company.I am not advertizing for the company, just sharing my
views with Radio Sweden liseners.
We visited a Volvo dealer hear in the US. The new(for the US) 2000year
S40/V40 is in my opinion one of the safest built car on the
planet. They have dual front airbags, side airbags, anti lock disk
brakes and the body passenger/driver compartments are built like a tank
for people protection.
I was told these Volvos were in Sweden since 1995. We are just getting
them in the US. What a shame we in the US did not get them earlier in
this country. Lives may have been saved.
Maybe Radio Sweden could do a segment on these great cars, or other
cars built in Sweden with similar saftey devices. It could bring to
more peoples attention and possibly save lives.
The transmission on our old car just blew up and we are buying a Volvo.
Just sharing my opinion and trying to be helpful.Tack sa mycket for
letting me share my opinion with you.
