As an American businessman, I wonder at he "truth-finding" mission
touted by the American led team that is diving on the tragically
wrecked ferry Estonia. The addition of another film crew I believe, is
convincing they are searching for some sensational footage, probably to
sell to
television documentary producers no doubt already lining up for a look
at the
gruesome views of many people's loved ones floating about, fully
clothed within the still intact hull.
Tragedies like the Titanic are a bit different; the relatives are
mostly forgotten or have died themselves and the age of that wreck does
not lend itself to much in the way of sensationalism.
But the Estonia is still fresh in everyone's mind and will undoubtedly
cause a good deal of pain if viewed. Thoughts, anyone??
