Warning for pager owners

BEWARE METROCALL pager owners

Metrocall has doubled the speed at which they send pages to some
customers from 1200 bps to 2400 bps and some older pages can't accept
the new speed.

So if you are on Metrocall and have been wondering why you aren't
getting any pages, that could be why.

On the pager Usenet newsgroup I found
"...people that did this to me & my customers that I have no control of
is Metrocall - freq 929.0125".

I had a Metrocall pager but last year I brought it to Smart Beep and
they switched it to their service. I pay $1.99 a month here in NYC and
when I went to Philadelphia recently I even got a page down there on it.
I am not paying for any wide range service.
