The IWPA has updated its website with 34 fixtures for women polo players
around the world.

The IWPA has updated its website with 34 fixtures for women polo
players around the world.
Please take a look and if any have been missed out or there is any
information that needs

The address for the fixtures on the iwpa website is

You will also see newly posted details of the forthcoming Women's World
Championships that
is being held in the UK in July 2001. Teams and sponsors are still
being confirmed so watch
out for regular updates over the next few weeks. American Airlines are
once again sponsoring
the the Flights for the top women players and La Martina have agreed to
provide all the
teams with shirts in the individual National or Sponsor's colours.

The IWPA encourages clubs to host at least one women's polo event.
These one or two day
tournaments not only give women players a goal to practice and train
for but they provide
valuable match experience, set an example to female spectators who
might not have
considered taking up the sport, increase the number of teams travelling
and encourage more
communication between clubs. This is vital for the continuing growth of
the sport with the
added advantage of improving the standard of women players both at a
club and national
