Blessings to All, As I've stated in previous postings, I very recently found
out that I am omo Oya. This has helped to explain many things in my life.
Yet, I and others who are new to Ifa, need direction beyond WAY OF THE ORISA,
the Ifa Foundation's CLASSROOM, and occasional responses on this Forum from
more experienced practioners. That is why I am asking for an Oya priest or
priestess to step forward and help us form a study group. This can take
place on this forum, by email, or in a limited chatroom (I can set one up
that is non-Java and at a time when even Ellen in London can participate).
I'm sure that children of the other Orisa would benefit from their own groups
as well. Alafia, Ray

ALAFIA!

Wow! What a great idea! I too am a "newbie" child of Oya, and would be
very pleased to participate in an Oya forum. I've been off-line for the
past month, so I haven't been following this forum. Has any Oya
priest/ess volunteered? In addition to the information that we have
from the _Way of the Oricha_ and the Classroom for embracing the Oricha
energy in general, it would be fantastic to have some specific advice,
and possibly even some techniques, that would be helpful to us as
children of Oya. This is just the sort of insight and guidance that an
experienced Oya priest/ess could provide.

And since I've just read the 2000 reading, it certainly seems that this
would be a good year to work extra-hard at developing our relationship
with the Oricha and our Ori with the goal of greater understanding of
our path and our destiny.

If there's anything I can do from the UK that would help to get such a
discussion group started, please let me know.

Thanks, Ray, for another really helpful suggestion!

Blessings,

Ellen
