Hello all,

Would you please look and see if these 2 6CA7s are genuine Amperex? If
yes, which one is the older type?
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=484236594

And, would you please tell me what does the code: x14 lod 033 0033
on a Mullard EL34/6CA7 mean? What is the country of origin if the first
character of the 2nd row of Philips codes is a "L"?

Thank you very much,

lhchan

To my knowledge, only Amperex Holland have produced double D-getter
EL34. And the early types has much lighter brown color (almost
yellowish) base compare to later types.

I thought "L" and the triangle symbol and both Dutch.

X14 is the production code, whereas "L" would identifiy it as being made
in the M.B.L.E. (Mazda), Bruxelles, Belgium plant.
