I have seen many SA-16 on eBay before and a "NOS" pair in a friends
house before. I have not heard this amp in action myself but it looks
like a lesser version of FIsher SA-100 with the 12DW7 replaced by 12AX7.

But then EL84 amp is "incapable" of bad sound IMHO.

Thanks,Tim-and also for your reply to my question on AA. It has not
been possible to post a reply here for a few days now.My 76/6SN7 preamp
has now been converted to use 6J5/L63 and it is much more mellow,even
though I imagine that it will take some time to find the appropriate
6J5 -I do have the feeling that it was definitely worth the effort.
I am awaiting 2 Fisher console amps-SA-16 and 440A.I am also awaiting 4
ESS mid/tweeter units that should be arriving in the next month or two.
My apartment is too small for all this stuff.Raanan
