YC,

It is fasinating to learn about the history of the Pye PF91 and HF25.
How about the other amps from Pye?

What do you think of the Pye Mozart EL34 SE tube amp? I heard this a
few years ago and was quite impressed by its sound.

The Mozart HFS20 EL34SE is a very good amp! I have one here in fact.
The other very good PYE amp is the HF12 which is a mono integrated. I
heard it at Jason's place last year. He bypassed the pre stage and used
it purely as a power amp. Its almost like the PF91. There was in fact
a single PYE PF91 at ebay, sold for $430, price is almost the same as
what you would expect to pay in UK for a single. Strange thing about
that amp is its chassis is gold, all the PF91 i have seen have "pearl
white" chassis with blue transformer caps. If you thinking of buying
the Mozart, forget about Nick's (Emporium UK) sample, not in the best
condition. I bought my from Graham Tricker (GT Audio) last year.

Hi

I would like the information you mentioned about the HF25 because I am going
to buy a single one which needs restoration. Can you please contact me on my
email address: ho...@hotmail.com? Thanks.
