Greetings, one and all.
Just a quick message to report progress on the next edition of 'In
Conversation...'
After several hours today in the editing suite of a recording studio,
the audio part is now ready. Hearing it back, I have to say that I'm
confident everyone will enjoy it; a nice mix of tour reportage (with
music!) and, possibly best of all, a real l-o-n-g chat with Gary. A
proper conversation, in fact, in which he says much about his plans for
the future...
Next step is to visit the designers this week to work on the artwork of
the sleeve (it could be YOU on the cover, if you sent me any
photographs, that is) and we're done. Certainly, we're on schedule to
have the new issue out before the end of the month, as promised.
The new CD/cassette will also be accompanied by an order form for '12
Months, 11 Dates' tour merchandise.
Finally, I saw Gary on Heartbeat last night, too. I was also impressed,
though it's difficult to be impartial. The acid test has to be this;
ignoring the fact that we all know Gary as a singer, did his
performance as an actor stand up - or was it embarrassing? It did, and
it wasn't.
And Gary paid me a lot of money to say that...
