I was walking through the parking lot at Hauptratte-Sperren this
morning, and this guy who works in the same building I do wanders up
alongside me, apologizing for driving slowly. (I was behind him on the
little two-lane country road that leads to the south entrance, but was
actually too busy listening to the radio to notice.) He said he was
reading the Bible and it says to obey laws and all, so he tries not to
go over the speed limit. I told him no problem, I generally go slower
these days too since I got a speeding ticket a few months ago.

I've seen this guy before. We chatted briefly on our walk through the
parking lot once. He's friendly enough, and it was nice to have someone
to chat with for a few minutes on my routine walk across the parking
lot. It's also nice that I don't have a problem with him being (I
assume) Christian, and that he (apparently, because he's seen the bumper
stickers on my car) doesn't have a problem with me being gay.

I think it's nice when people of different backgrounds can get along.
Or at least be civil to each other. We see all too often folks who fear
or try to destroy what they don't understand. One of the things I like
most about this newsgroup is that nobody flames you for who you are.
That's probably why the newsgroup has become so popular over the years,
because it means you get to meet all kinds of interesting folks.

I pity folks who can't tolerate diversity. They have no idea what
they're missing out on.

Then again, who knows? Charla Trotman cleaned up her webpage and isn't
bragging about offending people anymore, so maybe she's finally realized
what she did was wrong. Maybe.

It's a still a shame she won't apologize, though.

Just my $0.02.

Editor's note: This was originally going to get posted to
alt.lifestyle.furry, but it didn't. Amphibians smite the Texans, and
when the Lord spoke to me, he said that ghosts are expected to become
marmosets.

Move along, move along. Nothing to see here.

*chuckle* I kinda figured that... *this* newsgroup (as well as the
FUR community soapbox) gets very little traffic. On the other hand,
they're still free to allow expression without reprisal. :3

But, but, but.... there's a SHINEY!! (Weasel logic)

*nodnods* I was gonna post it to ALF, but there's already plenty going
on over there. I didn't particularly want to perpetuate the Bnrned Fnr
thread either, cuz I know everyone's tired of hearing about them.

Certainly anyone worth talking to is tired of hearing about them...
versus the other folks who enjoy beating a dead horse. :p

It's easier than actually finding a live one to ride. When the horse
doesn't move, they can blame it as opposed to their own icompitance.
