You know, I'd be a lot more shocked at the kitch if I hadn't grown up in
a house with an entire wall full of that stuff. My mother was a
collector of salt and pepper shaker sets and you'd be amazed at what
manufacturers made. Bleah.

(On the other hand, I wonder what she did with the cast iron Amish
Family set that was also up on that shelf when she remodeled the
house... that was real folkart. She must've gotten them by mistake.)

I like how they describe the "shy apple or peach head lady", not quite
sure whether it's an apple or a peach.

Hmmmm... I sense a story coming on...

"Once upon a time, an evil sorceror cast a spell on a lady and made
her head turn into a giant apple or peach. And then she was really shy
because people would point at her giant apple or peach head and laugh at
it."

"But then one day she met a nice man with a giant tomato for a head,
and they lived happily ever after. The end."

<SIMPSONS>
Bart : "Dad, is there a point to this story?"
Homer: "I _like_ stories."
</SIMPSONS>
