Tuesday, June 27th
I arrived at the hotel about 10am, and was informed my room wasn't
ready yet(no surprise). I walked across to the ACME store, over to the
Michael's center, and down to the Dairy Queen to kill some time. When I
returned, having eaten lunch at Michael's Deli, the room was still
unavailable. I decided to hit the King of Prussia mall for a few
hours..bought some books and relaxed.
When I finally got into the room, I headed over to ACME to buy lots
of sodas and bottled water to store in a cooler in my room. The hotel
was full of lawyers and para-legals and I felt very out of place. After
getting dinner at Chili's, I called it a day.
Wednesday, June 28th
Since I was on AC staff, I expected to spend part of this day
working on Registration packets. I got up late, and ran into my first
furry friend, RazBryRcn, in the bar. After chatting with her for hours,
I had to leave to go pick up another fur, FoxLord, at the airport. I
arrived at 5:00, thinking I was just in time. His plane was supposed to
land at 5:10....it finally landed at 7:15 and it was pouring rain. We
got back to the hotel, got him checked in, and met Raz for dinner..we
found that Michael's delivers:) I checked in what would be Con Ops, and
was promptly put to work stuffing shirts into sacks:) I finally got to
bed at midnight.
Thursday, June 29th
Woke up early this time because I had to pick up another fur at
the airport..this pickup went much easier. There was a little traffic,
but nothing bad. Jwyldragon and I returned to the hotel about nine to
find her roommate had not checked in yet. Going by ConOps, we both sat
down and did pre-reg sacks for hours:) She was art show staff, so she
didn't have to do that, but did anyway:) I met Points, my supervisor for
Registration, checked in, and started sorting badges. We were supposed
to start Registration at 3:30...started a little late, but not bad. We
will do better next year:) Registration went very smoothly, the line for
preregistered furs moved quickly and we didn't hear many complaints. I
stayed till about six, then took off to get dinner. The flood had slowed
to a manageable trickle by then. Raz, FoxLord, Jwyl, her roommate Shy,
RRQuest, Greyfur, and I all went out to have dinner...and met JasJaguar
and Synicism at the restaurant. We had an impromptu room party at the
hotel when we got back..and I called it a night early, knowing I would
be up at 7 to start Reg again
