Before you buy.
I'm thinking Pyramid T-1 ribbon tweeters (I already have) above 8 kHz,
and subs below 100 Hz (don't have yet). Paralleled Quads will dip to
0.9 ohms impedance just above 8 kHz - a challenging demand for an amp,
hence my thinking in sending all higher frequencies to the Pyramids.
That sound like a good solution to you?
Excellent idea! Build a dedicated stand for the stacked 57s
so that you can alter the angles that each pair are pointed-as phase
problems are bound to occur in any room and phase problems will muddy
the sound.Being able to adjust the relative angles will enable you to
minimize the unwanted interaction.Play it by ear.
In addition, mount this dedicated stand on spikes-very very
important-makes A WORLD of difference.I just couldn't believe my ears
the first time I mounted one stand on spikes and compared to the
unspiked stand in mono! What amplification will you be using on the
stacked Quads? You might find it easier to write me at rey...@excite.com

ever owned-I miss the stacked 57s the most.Enjoy!Raanan
