We all talking about A-2 now it's time to talk about the accessories!
Elc had a Harhand(?) watch for WWII!
RMJP also has their limited edition Gen.Yeager Rolex GMT-2 watch.
But actually I found if you have a big/thick watch it's really
difficult to put on / take off your A-2!
I still can't find a real good watch for my A-2!....

I've got a Hamilton that's very similar to the A-11. Sorry, I don't
remember the model number (I'll check when I get home later), but it's
got a small face with white numerals and hands on a black background.
It's very plain looking and resembles a 1930's 40's design. It fits well
under my jacket sleeves and keeps excellent time.

Doesn't RMJP make an A-17 or A-11? I seem to remember them featuring
some sort of WWII watch on the back page of the class 13 catalog.

but could be what they would wear today.

I have a couple of old Hamilton AAF watches that look pretty neat with
an A2, both have the wing/prop on the face and seperate 2nd hands so
they are a little fancier than the Elgins etc. that can be found. One
has a white face and the other is black and both are a relatively small
watch. I still can't find any decent info. on WW2 watches.

Hi, Tim
Two Tone Rolex Thunderbird! ( yellow gold bezel!)
I think every one here would kill me!
Also I found my mistake on e-bay.
First time I put my MA-1 and G-1 under MEN/COAT/JACKET.
No wondering I received NO BID!
Now I need to try G-1 again!

Sewills in Liverpool, England have some interesting aviation style
watches. Good value too, anyway take a look if anyone is interested.
They are RAF, Army and Royal Navy styles. I really like the Operations
Room clock.

*********Good choice, Kenal0! The "Aerospace is a great choice if a
thin watch is desired. Not only am I a long time lover of flight
jackets, but of watches, ALL watches, mechanical and quartz as well.
I think i've owned just about all of the classics--Rolex, Breitling,
Omega, etc., but the thicker cased ones, which I actually prefer, have
never been a problem with regards to putting on or taking off a jacket.
There are so many brands, styles to consider--just really depends on
your needs and personal likes/dislikes. Believe it or not, my watch of
choice right now is the Citizen "Navihawk" Promaster. It's got all
the "bells and whistles",over 30 world time zones, 3 alarms (all
w/individual programmed sounds, full coundown and elapsed chrono
functions and day/date. Each and every one are purely functional and
are imperative in my day-to-day work dealing with folks all over the
world. It's not a thin watch by any means (13-15 mm case thickness),
but is extremely comfortable to wear. Have never experienced any
difficulty sliding my sleeve/cuff over it. If your not familiar with
the premier watch lovers forum, chek out www.timezone.com sometime.
The "Public Forum" is a GREAT place to lurk and learn, "Sales Corner"
is a super buy/sell/trade hangout!
