Due to escalations in the tabloid trash behavior of a few inveterate
troublemakers in this forum, I have closed the forum until further
notice. I am saddened by what has become of this place, and it is
unfortunate that a small number of people have to spoil it for so many
others. But it's gotten so that I feel I have no choice but to take
severe action.

When I've decided how I want to continue the forum, including guidelines
for civility and respect, and including measures for enforcement, the
forum will return. In the meantime, the message archive should remain
intact but new messages cannot be posted except by me.
