I have tried using this script and I followed all the recommendations but when I run the script it only populates the custom field with anydesk: It never gets the AnyDesk 9-digit id.
Is this still a good script to use or am I missing something?

@JacobSoul
Looking at the doc that @schwarzenbek posted, you'll probably need to make a proxy exception for *.net.anydesk.com.
If you're just using the default outgoing packet filter all of these ports are allowed.

Could be multiple reasons; Anydesk traffic is likely encrypted. So for the firewall to detect this traffic as being anydesk (and not just a stream of encrypted data) you should be decrypting SSL-traffic or also use Sophos enpoint security so the endpoint can inform the firewall of applications used (synchronized applications).

I understood your problem and I just remembered it happen the same to me once but using a W10. I had several physical machines connected to the same firewall with same W10 version installed in all of them but for some reason in one of the machines anydesk wouldn't connect to the network. I didn't manage to fix that because I didn't really need it.

anydesk doesn't give source, and there is no source of them anywhere. I wrote in the hope that maybe someone already tried to do this. If I manage to get Padavan firmware or a package, I will definitely report back.

As the title says, I am currently using AnyDesk to remotely access a Mac computer, when typing in the simulator of an iphone xcode device, the keyboard prints all letters A, no matter what letter of the alphabet I type, it converts them all to letter A, numbers works perfectly, only for letters of the alphabet, using locally without anydesk this problem does not arise, and it is annoying to have to tap with the mouse on each key of the virtual keyboard of the simulator of an iphone xcode device, I await your help

Is the concept described even on-topic for the site?
AnyDesk does have APIs, so it is possible that software development questions regarding this product could be asked, but the company has been around since 2014, and no on-topic questions have yet been asked under this tag.
The vast majority of the questions are General Computing questions which should be on SuperUser if anywhere. One, closed, programming question remains (and I removed the tag from another question) but they were both incorrectly (IMO) tagging anydesk as an example of the sort of program they didn't want to be able to access their app. They had no specific connection to AnyDesk.

in the tag Wiki, doesn't really help. If API-related questions arise, perhaps that would be a good time to create the tag again, but until then I don't think it is necessary. Even SuperUser doesn't have an anydesk tag, at present.

Considering all of the above, I suggest that the anydesk tag be burninated, and all associated questions be deleted/migrated as they are off-topic, with the possible exception of this question, which could just have the tag removed. Most of the questions have answers, some accepted, so would not Roomba.

AnyDesk further reported that as precautionary measures, they have revoked all passwords for their customer web portal, my.anydesk.com, and recommended users to reset their passwords if they have been used on other platforms. They also urged users not to download software or updates from unsecured third-party websites and to update to the latest software version with new code signing certificates.

In the security advisory (Feb 2), AnyDesk stated they "have revoked all security-related certificates and systems have been remediated or replaced where necessary," and "as a precaution, we are revoking all passwords to our web portal, my.anydesk.com, and we recommend that users change their passwords if the same credentials are used elsewhere."
