Follow the steps below to specify the scanner or printer you want to use on your network. If you change the scanner you use with IJ Network Scanner Selector EX, you will also need to change it with IJ Scan Utility. (See the next section below for instructions.)
The IJ Scan Utility main screen reappears. You can now scan via a network connection.
If your scanner or printer doesn't appear, check the following, click OK to close the screen, then reopen it and try selecting again.
From the Start menu, click All Programs > Canon Utilities > IJ Network Selector EX> IJ-Network-Scanner-Selector-EX.Important
If you are connecting through the optional Epson NetworkInterface Unit, first connect the unit to your scanner and verifythat both are working properly. Then follow the instructions hereto set up your computer for network scanning using the Epson Scan 2Utility.
If you are connecting through a direct connection to yourscanner, first manually configure your scanner to connect to yournetwork. Then follow the instructions here to set up your computerfor network scanning using the Epson Scan 2 Utility. Your scannermust be turned on and connected to the network.
The IJ Network Scanner Selector EX can be empowered for your printer. Download the MP Navigator EX, as the system scanner selector is an additional component for the MP Navigator EX. It enables you to scan records into your PC utilizing a system association.
Note: If you did not install Epson ScanSmart, make sure Epson Scan 2 and Document Capture Pro (Windows) or Document Capture (Mac) are installed on the computer connected to the scanner. Document Capture Pro (Windows) and Document Capture (Mac) do not support scanning from the start button on your scanner over a wireless network (ES-300W/ES-300WR). Launch Epson Scan 2 before scanning from the start button on your scanner.
