I am using RawTherapee 5.8 on a Windows 10 machine. I recently took a number of photos for a project in NEF (Nikon raw) format. When I started reviewing them in RT, I was getting concerned as they appeared blurry. After finding them all like that, I opened one of them just using the Windows default Photos program and was relieved to find that the image had the expected sharpness. Same for the rest of the images and they opened sharp in other programs as well. The issue is not present when opening JPEG images in RT.

Photos app opens blurry images in Windows 10

It seems that there is a problem with Windows/Wordpress and some images do not scale as they are set in the block editor. As a result the browser will further down-scale them and make them appear low resolution and blurry.

I created an expenses app that uses CDS to store my images. The user can use their phone camera to take and store images of receipts for each line item added. In a scrollabel gallery view the images are small squares and look fine, but you can't read them. When I try to make a new screen that uses those names from the gallery as a data source and enlarge the media it is extremely blurry. How can I make it so that the image is larger and the receipt is readable.

I am not sure why, but after I updated to the latest ios: the thumbnails of all my photos and videos in the Photos app became blurry. Like when I open them the quality is normal, but I am not particularly fond of the blur thumbnails. Is there some way I can fix this and get back to the way it was?

This literally happened the moment I updated my phone to the IOS 15.1. It's really frustrating me that my photos in my camera roll as thumbnails are blurry but zoomed in are okay. This is clearly a bug because I tried everything. I'm getting the new iPhone 13 soon and I do not wish for this issue to be on that as well. If so, I hope Apple will do something about this bug soon with another software update to fix those issues because clearly I'm not the only one with this problem on my iPhone.

exactly the same problem is happening with me too , i had iphone xs i updated it to ios 15 the issue rises that when you click photo from camera and from camera app you want to view that photo it shows blurry image and even in photos app you open pictures it shows blurry image sometime after 5 6 seconds it gets ok sometimes it does not. I thought my device is slow to process now , so bought brand new iphone 13 pro and guess what same problem appears in this phone too. That is really embarrassing for me some of my android users laughing on this. Please do something on this issue really quick.

For example, if you work on projects that contain numerous high-resolution photos, you may prefer to have all your documents open quickly. You can set the default display option to Fast. When you want to view the images in more detail, you can switch the document view to Typical or High Quality.

I am seeing many of my images (screenshots and stock images) becoming pixelated/blurry. I bring them in and they look fine, and sometimes, randomly, they will all of a sudden become blurry. They also export this way. In some files the same image looks ok, and when I copy/paste into another they look blurry. Additionally, sometimes the images look fine for me, and not for others. I do not think this is a loading issue because they do not resolve after time.

The quality of the images are very different. sin1.png has 20481536 pixel and is down scaled to 34%. The image sin2.png has 1266762 pixels and is scaled to 91%. If you open both images with a raster image app, and look at it at 100% scaling, you will notice, that sin2.png is a snap shot of an anti-aliased image and therefore is already blurry in itself. If you now add smoothing in LibreOffice it will become more blurry. The sin1.png is the pure drawing and is not blurry in itself. Anti-aliasing in LibreOffice has about three pixels to make one new pixel for rendering. That will give high quality in anti-aliased rendering.

A blurry image can ruin an otherwise great photo, and sometimes you notice too late to snap another pic. Fortunately, a photo editing app can unblur photos instantly and give you the clarity you want. Keep reading to learn how to unblur an image with PhotoDirector!

High-quality photos appeal to users more than blurry, unclear images. Also, sharp images are more appealing to users in the result thumbnail and can increase the likelihood of getting traffic from users. That said, images are often the largest contributor to overall page size, which can make pages slow and expensive to load. Make sure to apply the latest image optimization and responsive image techniques to provide a high quality and fast user experience.

I have same problem as other users. It only happens with the Dropbox browser preview and only with longer files (1-2pagers work fine for me but 4pages stay blurry). They are only 460KB. Me using Win10, up-to-date Chrome browser, but files are shared with another person on Apple computer/Safari who is without blurry issue. If I choose the "Download" option and then select link on bottom of browser window, the file opens in a new browser tab and is completely clear. Likewise, if I choose the "Open in" option and select to connect an app, like smallpdf, it will open in a new browser tab and is completely clear.

A blurry or out-of-focus monitor in Windows 11 can be the result of various causes. One of the most common causes is an incorrect resolution which often leads to a blurred image, especially when using multiple monitors. An incorrect DPI setting can also cause the monitor to become blurry on Windows 11. The good news is most of the possible causes can be fixed in just a few steps so you can ensure texts, images and apps are displayed sharply again when using Windows 11.

In addition to a sharp display, you can also use other tricks to provide more clarity when operating Windows 11. This includes a tidy window layout when using multiple programs which is much more comfortable with Windows 11 than with earlier Windows versions. To arrange windows automatically, simply move the mouse pointer over the "Maximise" icon in the upper-right corner of a window. The selection of available layouts then opens. Click to select your desired arrangement and then distribute the programs to the available segments.

Always look for settings beyond your basic adjustment tools; Details in Movavi Photo Editor is a good example of additional tools that can help fix blurry images. In Photoshop, the Smart Sharpen tool is a great way to fix blurry pictures.

If you're looking for a quick way to fix a blurry image without transferring your photos to a computer, you can do it on your smartphone's default photo app. See our full guide on using the Sharpen tool in Google Photos. And on iPhone, find your image in the Photos app, tap Edit, scroll to Sharpness, and turn it up.

I also recommend increasing the size of the image to at least 4K or more equivalent size (basically, a large resolution). This way, the image is clear and high-quality when enlarged. 4K 16:9 resolution is 3840 x 2160 pixels, and 8K (I recommend, but download sizes will increase) resolution is 7680 x 4320 pixels. You can also change the scaling to whatever you like afterwards, but try to have an image size that's generally large, in that range, to maximize quality (small images will be blurry no matter what).

Sometimes you might feel like your photos are too smooth or blurry. By sharpening them, you can add contrast along the edges of objects. Make your subject more prominent and dramatic and add volume by learning how to sharpen an image in Photoshop.

Experiment with these sliders to see which works best for you to sharpen blurry images. Be aware that the effect will vary based on the size of your image, since Unsharp Mask focuses on pixels.

Are there any other ways to unblur an image? You can use the Smart Sharpen filter to sharpen blurry images and add control sharpness. Basic and advanced settings include controls that let you play with different amounts of sharpness, shadow, highlights, and more. How is Smart Sharpen different from Unsharp Mask? Smart Sharpen is recommended for targeted sharpening because it minimizes noise in low-contrast areas. On the other hand, the Unsharp Mask filter is good for output sharpening.

3) Sometime blurry images have to do with the user-end setup on your machine. If you've got any kind of scaling setup going on in your browser or in your Display Settings that could also have an impact on the end display -- like if you're hooked up to a TV or using multiple displays.

So I think the multiple displays might be the answer here: I have a laptop connected to 2 monitors and I tend to look at everything on the biggest monitor. I tried moving the edit window to my laptop screen and magically the larger images look cleaner. Looking at a test email through Gmail with two differently sized but otherwise identical images, it seems they look the same on the laptop screen, the larger one looks slightly blurry on the extended screen, but on my iPhone the larger image looks cleaner than the smaller image.
