Hi all,

Long time, no speak. :)

I have just upgraded Hudson to version 1.395.1, so let me know if you
see any problems with that. There is another matter to discuss,
though: the future upgrade path. At this point we need to decide
whether we will use Hudson or Jenkins. For all those currently
developing, please post your opinions and vote on which way we should
move. For further information, there are two links of interest.

The Jenkins pitch is here:
https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=53608972

The pitch given by Oracle was simply a pointer to their main page:
http://hudson-ci.org/

I'm quite keen to open up read-only views to all users. I know this
was mentioned briefly before, but I think it poses no problem and
provides people with a direct source to built versions and other
information. To be honest, I just don't like things being "dark".
Majority rules, though...

Thanks,
Johnathan

Hi,

Nice job with the upgrade. Haven't noticed any regressions with it.

Regarding the Jenkins vs. Hudson dispute, my vote goes to Jenkins. I read the pitches and Jenkins seems to be the choice :)

I really like the idea to open up for anonymous users (read only).

I'm all for Yenkins aswell. Anonymous read only sounds like an excellent idea!

Done. Things should continue to work as they did, as the system wasn't updated further but rather the upgrade path. Will have to pay attention on the next update to make sure all is still well. TTYL.
