Capability of computing intrinsic mean of landmarks

Hi all,

I am wondering how Deformatrica implements DeterministicAtlas for landmarks.

I expect the output template to be exactly the intrinsic mean/Fréchet mean in the landmark space. However, the wikipage says distances between landmarks are computed using pairwise Euclidean distance, which should be quite different from the geodesic distance on the landmark space.

Also, I am curious if under proper setup, the output control point would be the same as the output template so that I can directly use the output momenta as the logarithm of my observations.
