I am running a deformetrica analysis right now, but due to maintenance to the server that it is running on it will be automatically cancelled tomorrow at 11:45 am EST. Due to how long it has taken I do not think that it will complete prior to it being stopped. I was wondering if there was any way to save the files that it has already gone through so that the time that I have spent on it is not completely wasted. Thank you for any help that you can provide.

Best,

Liam

Or better yet is there a way to pause the run while keeping the run intact so that it can survive the server shut down for maintenance?

Hello Liam,

Thank you for your interest.

It should allow you to resume your computation from the last checkpoint. The frequency of these checkpoints is controlled by the "save-every-n-iters" parameter (100 by default).

Alex,

Would this option need to be in the current runs optimization parameters xml file or would I need to restart the code with this option checked?

Best,
Liam

Liam,

You will need to restart the code using this option in order to provide a path to the "deformetrica-state.p" file that has been (hopefully) created for your current run.
