I'm trying to save *this * story:

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2192491/1/Shadows-of-Man

And I'm getting this error:

Platform: Microsoft-Windows-32bit-WindowsPE
Story: 21924911

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "deffnet.py", line 359, in handlestory
File "Tkinter.pyc", line 1146, in __setitem__
File "Tkinter.pyc", line 1139, in configure
File "Tkinter.pyc", line 1130, in _configure
File "Tkinter.pyc", line 999, in _options
File "Tkinter.pyc", line 1031, in _register
TypeError: cannot concatenate 'str' and 'NullType' objects

I'm on a windows 7 box.

Can anyone help, or has FFnet broken the system again?

You put an extra 1 in the story id box, Ed. That's why it's choking.

Uh, no... that url is a cut&paste. Didn't add or subtract anything, and when clicked on it junps straight to the story.

Same URL I pasted into the deffnet url text entry box.

Well, I put the first 7 digits from the troubleshooting log into my
DeFFnetizer and it worked just fine. That extra 1 had to come from
somewhere.

Okay, this is odd - when I *manually* trim off the name of the fic, as well as the "/1/" that indicates the first chapter, that is, truncate the url from  http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2192491/1/Shadows-of-Man to just http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2192491/  THEN deffnet works.

Weird. What is going on here?

Could it be that the input field is stripping everything that isn't a
digit? It would read the first link, throw out everything that wasn't a
number, and come up with the story id that it was trying to read in the
trouble log you originally posted.

Me, I just type the number into the box.
