I'm running De-FFNet-izer version 2456373.25. As of 15 minutes before
this message, I'm unable to retrieve *any* stories from ff.net. I've
checked the storyid, I've copy and pasted it directly from the chapter,
and nothing works. I get the 'Unable to retrieve story #######' error
box. Is anyone else having this problem?

I noticed that, too. I already sent Chad a support ticket. I tried it
on two different machines (with different flavors of Windoze) I
wondered if it was a 64 bit issue at first, but discounted it as it
had been working fine this morning.

For a time earlier, FF.net was blocking anything with the default Python HTTP library agent string.  This affected the FanFictionDownloader Caliber plugin, as well.  This had resolved itself, but it looks like they've started doing it again. :(

Yeah, I've been having the same problem as well today. But then,
apparently ffnet did a network update yesterday, that might be part of
the problem? Did anyone have trouble yesterday?

This is exactly what the issue was.  I've been trying to get it to work with a new user agent since last night but was having issues.  Walked away from it for a bit and discovered it was hard coded elsewhere in the source above where I was working. :(

Something else they have screwed up is trailing slashes. For example http://www.fanfiction.net/~punkforjesus works but http://www.fanfiction.net/~punkforjesus/ claims i am not a user. I wonder at their team of web monkeys at times.
