AS SALAAMU ALAIKUM;

My Dear Muhammad:

I write to you again in the spirit of those mentioned by the Prophet
Mohammed (PBUH) in the Holy Qur'an in Sura V, verses 85-88. I write as
a friend of yours and a friend of Al- Islam. As an esoteric Christian
who sees the beauty and wisdom of Islam and indeed, the eternal truths
that may be found at the core of all major religions. I write in the
spirit that the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) himself wrote to my theological
forebears in the Charter of Privileges given to the monks of St.
Catherine's on Mt. Sinai in 628 CE.

I write to you in your unique role as being the closest confidante of
the beloved Imam W. D. Mohammed during the last four years of his life,
and a longtime friend of his dating back to the "days of the first".
Those were the days when you, Louis Farrakhan, and the late Imam were
all young men working together and the Imam assumed his rightful place
as leader of your community. The insights of his that he entrusted you
with during these most recent years give you an unmatched perspective
on his thoughts regarding the inner workings of the community he led.
This included not only his teachings on Islam and its relationship to
other faiths, but his personal critiques of individual Imams and
members of his own family. Because of this, you have been greatly
honored by being given this direct, historical look at the evolution of
his personal thinking, and also the evolution and growth of this
community that he led to Sunni Islam. It is a role that only a few know
about.

On your almost weekly travels with him, he gave you clues to the
direction that he hoped the community of believers would take. He
almost predicted, by his personal analysis of certain individuals, the
chaotic course that is befalling this community and urged you to write
about him to dispel any untruths that may arise after his death.
