Hello friends,
We hope you’re planning to join us at noon, Saturday, Jan. 16, for the “Not One More Death!” car caravan to draw attention to the COVID-19 crisis in Virginia’s prisons and jails.

We know many people are worried about this weekend, especially on Monday when gun rights activists will be coming to Richmond with their own caravan. We’ve been in touch with the young activists who follow right-wing social media, and they say there are NO right-wing events planned here for Saturday. The police are saying the same thing. There will be a lot of police in the downtown area all weekend and on Monday, but they have told us they do not have a problem with our caravan as long as we don’t block traffic, which we will not be doing. So please feel comfortable about joining us.
As for the weather, the forecast for Saturday in Richmond is for a high of 46 degrees, mostly cloudy with only a 20 percent chance of rain.
So please join us at noon in the parking lot of the Supreme Flea Market, 3302 Williamsburg Road. We will have signs to put on your vehicles, but please feel free to bring your own. And even though we’ll be in our vehicles, please wear a mask and keep socially distanced.
