Breaking News: the Dept of Ed Takes Action Against the ACCJC

Breaking News 8/13/2013:

The United States Department of Education has found the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges to be out of compliance with the Secretary of Education’s Criteria for Recognition. The ACCJC has been given one year to come into compliance or face limitation, suspension or termination of its recognition as a regional accreditor. This is a major victory for CCSF, but it is necessary to keep mobilizing until the ACCJC drops its sanctions against CCSF and all the cuts have been reversed.
