Hello good people,

We believe Occupy Wall Street accelerated in the early stages of the movement in part because it was an open, public, conspiracy.  This statement is meant as a welcome invitation into the conspiracy.

We intend to organize a strike vote at Ohio State University (OSU) over tuition costs, systematic racism and corporate domination of the trustee board. We believe that those that crashed the economy, have no mandate govern it. We believe corporate executives  have no right to run our public universities or control our 2 billion endowment.

We want student, faculty, and staff suffrage. There is no dignity with without a vote. This is a fight for our dignity and our future.
We want those who believe that education is a fundamental public right to join us.

How we will do it?
1)We have all 62 thousand emails of the OSU students. We will release a series of YouTube video’s similar to our past YouTube videos(listed below) to develop the student power narrative, and mobilize our student base.

2)We have a multiple coalitions moving to implement the strike. (On the conference call this Tuesday we will walk through the key players and groups on the campus)

3) We are paying and training 20 students to organize faculty and teaching assistants to bring their classes out onto the green for a two-day event where we will “re-imagine the university” through teach-ins, workshops, seminars, and activities. Each night, we will call for general assemblies, and on the second night, we plan on taking the strike vote. This will occur on May 16th and 17th.

5) After we agree on the strike, we will send an email to the entire student body reading: Class is cancelled tomorrow due to a student strike.

6) We will ask educators in key departments to follow our lead and strike in solidarity.

7) The average class size at Ohio State is 43 students. We think we can organize over a 100 faculty to participate. That’s over 4,000 students!

The American student movement needs a spark, and Columbus, Ohio already has the kindling.  Columbus Ohio is a pivotal political battleground, and the student struggle at Ohio State is at the frontlines of the battle to defend public higher education from corporatization. Ohio will be at the core of the fall election narrative, and we believe we have an opportunity to shape the national discourse on questions of income inequality, corporate dominance over public institutions, and whether education is a privilege or a social right in America.

We are organizing a conference call next Wednesday at 8 pm EST  for national leaders to hear more about our plans, to ask questions, and to discuss if there are areas of collaboration.
