to deepTools
Hi everyone,

I'm happy to announce version 3.3.2 of deepTools, which is already available on PyPI and Conda and contains a number of bug fixes and a few small additional features, such as allowing computation of the silhouette score for each region when performing clustering in plotHeatmap or plotProfile. A full list of changes is available here: https://github.com/deeptools/deepTools/releases/tag/3.3.2

After many years of using this email list for support we'd like to migrate over to using biostars.org instead. That site has been used already by many users to ask deepTools-related questions, so stream lining support to that site should prove easier for us long-term.

We'd also like to announce that we're going to sunset our public Galaxy server, deeptools.ie-freiburg.mpg.de. At the time we started that server, deepTools wasn't widely available on public Galaxy servers. However it's now available on the three primary public servers (usegalaxy.eu, usegalaxy.com and usegalaxy.org.au), so it doesn't make much sense for us to continue running a very small server when much larger publicly-accessible ones are already available. On February 6 I will disable running new jobs on this server and then finally take it down by February 28th. That should give current users ample time to migrate their data elsewhere. Thereafter the deeptools.ie-freiburg.mpg.de URL will point to usegalaxy.eu, which is much larger and robust than what we can offer.

Best,
Devon
