All,
I want to bring to the attention of all EC Members certain issues which were noticed by myself in the last two days. I request you all to give your opinion on how to tackle these issues so that we can take appropriate action

1) The Ground Floor corridor in B Block is in a very bad state since somebody played Holi there. A large part of the corridor, the walls, the ceiling and part of the staircase are all looking very dirty with full of colours which cannot be washed away. In my opinion, we should do some investigation and try to find out who the culprits are and fine them heavily so that these kind of incidents do not occur in future. I'm willing to take lead in this matter and if two-three EC members can join me sometime today/tomorrow, we can go to the nearby flats and try getting some information on who did this. If we can nail the culprits, we should fine them heavily. Even otherwise this would send a very strong signal to the residents.

2) The toilet near the entrance in B-Block has almost become a health hazard. The toilet doors are always open and the stink from the toilet is so bad that I have stopped using this staircase to come upto 1 st Floor. When I checked with the security, I was informed that the staff from the shops are using the same. When this issue was raised almost 1.5 years back to Chandrashekhar Reddy/Chandresh, the builder completed the construction of toilets near our 2nd gate and had promised that the shopkeepers will use those toilets. But this has not happened so far andsome of them still use our toilets near B-Block staircase. I request the President/Secretary to give immediate instructions to the security to lock this toilet and handover the keys to our Manager. The shop keepers can start using the toilets outside. I would like to humbly remind the association members that, as members of the association, our primary objective is to protect the welfare of the residents and if we do not take action here, it will reflect poorly on our abilities to serve the residents.

3) The last issue which which i would like to raise, is about the scrap material lying all around in our premises. This include broken glass/unused doors/concrete blocks and metal scrap. The last construction activity in Deepica was over atleast 3 years before and there is no reason why these materials should be here.We should inform the builder to immediately remove this from our premises within a deadline of say 2 weeks. I also see this as an attitude problem from our builder, who thinks we can be taken for granted for any matters and we as a community will not retaliate. For once we should prove them wrong.

Please share your views so that we can take up these matters on a war footing.

Regards
PRaveen

Hello Praveen,

I am out of town else I would have joined you.I fully agree with you that we should find the culprits and ask them to pay for the damage that they have done. It's high time since we have been taken for rides.  Also, wrt the scrap I believe we should just sell it off.Enough time and messages have been given to the builder regarding this.I believe even those generators,we should get it removed from where it is now. There are lot of rats who are assembling under that and making it a mess.I think it's high time that we get the flats sanitized by calling in some pest control folks. In my opinion,I found Godrej High Care to be extremely good.

Thanks & Regards,

Vinoo

Hi Praveen,

We should close the toilet used in B block and not let the shop keepers use this facility. They are not willing to pay any maintenance, but want to enjoy the facility. If everyone agrees, I will ask our Manager to get it cleaned and close it immediately.

I also agree we need to get rid of all the scrap material inside our premises. Few months back we got rid of most of it, but for some reason everything wasn't discarded. The common area should not be used as a dumping ground by any resident/builder. We will talk about this and get this cleared at the earliest.

Regards,
- Keerthi
