News item in Bangalore mirror - regarding how a certain apartment got their 'A' Khata without paying any bribe

Dear all,

 

Attached a news item in today's Bangalore mirror. It talks about how residents in an apartment got their Khata without paying bribes. More importantly we have got certain take aways from this. They have got their builder to give them the Occupancy Certificate and also made the builder pay the necessary penalties for the violations (though they paid part of it). They were also successful in getting the 'BBMP approved building plan' through RTI (which we also tried but some had apprehensions).  Also gives details of an upright official in BBMP (who by coincidence is also named Niranjan), whom we can also contact in case of any need.
