We've been learning a lot about Titanfall 2 today: James got a chunk of hands-on time with the game's multiplayer, tossed up some new videos featuring different gameplay modes, and even gave us a look at the game's advanced video settings. And now, thanks to a new post on the Titanfall blog, we've got the full system requirements, complete with an explanation of what it all means.

All I can say is that it's in line with other issues people are posting about. Someone just resurrected a 5-year-old thread about stuttering, and in that thread, the common denominator is 16 gb of RAM - the rest of their system specs blow away minimum requirements.

Remember that minimum requirements mean that the game will start and play with everything on the lowest settings.

What are the rest of the specs on your system?

Here are the original minimum hardware requirements for the game:

(Windows 10 was brand new when Titanfall 2 was released)

Just trying to help you, my friend. This game - as mad as EA and Respawn make me the way they treat the Titanfall fanbase - is absolutely worth any headache to get the game to work properly. It blows everything else out of the water.

Some days of the week, usually weekends, I have lag "spikes" that occur in both Battlefield 1 Multiplayer and Titanfall 2 Multiplayer. I have performed detailed diagnostics on my home network, my modem, my router, my computer, and even asked my ISP (Comcast) for help and what I've learned through many hours of troubleshooting my own network and internet connection is that there is nothing wrong with my network or internet connection. I have a 150 Megabit/sec. download and 20 Megabit/sec. upload speed from my DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem and a solid, reliable ethernet (cat-6) connection from my gaming PC to my router and between the modem and router. My internet connection speed has stayed steady from 140 to 160 Mbps down and 12-20 Mbps up for many months now and nothing has broken or gone wrong on my network, and my gaming PC is connected properly with no issues.

Despite hours of troubleshooting on my side and in my network and PC, I cannot solve this BF1 and Titanfall 2 multiplayer lag/rubber-banding issue. This problem is not a result of my PC's game frame-rate or performance. My PC specs are very fast and modern, far-exceeding the system requirements of BF1 and Titanfall 2. I have Windows 10 Pro (licensed), an Intel Core i5 6600K at 4.5 GHz, 32 GB of DDR4 2400 RAM, my games are installed on fast Samsung 850 Pro SSD's with lots of space, my graphics card is an EVGA/Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti with 6 GB of dedicated GDDR5 VRAM, my motherboard is a Gigabyte G1 Gaming Z170X, my sound card is a Creative SoundBlaster ZxR dB Pro outputting 24-bit/96-KHz DTS 5.1 sound via optical cable. My PC runs these two games above 60 frames-per-second consistently, never falling below 60 FPS.

I am able to connect to both the BF1 EA/Origin official game servers and the Titanfall 2 official game servers/data centers with a ping always at or below 40 ms to 50 ms. I can successfully log-in to both games' official multiplayer data centers/servers with no problems. But when I play multiplayer matches this morning and this afternoon (10/30/2016) I experience ping

What's interesting is that I experienced NO lag at all just yesterday (10/29/2016), but this exact lag problem with "rubber-banding" has occurred the same exact way before under the same exact conditions. I have run network diagnostics at the same time as these lag freezes occur and have not been able to identify any change in ping in any area of my connection to my network or internet connection, and my game ping remains great (

Additionally, I have tried connecting to different official servers/data centers in Titanfall 2 prior to starting a multiplayer match, I've selected all of the different data centers in the US that I can choose from, from Texas to Virginia, to New York etc... and the lag problem occurs the exact same way with the same freezing timing every time (3-5 second freezes followed by 5-10 seconds of smooth gameplay, followed by another freeze, repeating until end of the match).

My best guess is that there is a problem in the connection between my ISP's connection and the EA/Origin (BF1/Titanfall 2) official game servers/data centers. However, this problem is not on my end, all of my router and networks' ports are forwarded fully, ports 80, 443, 20000-20099, 30000-30099, 80000-80099, and a few other port ranges. My router is a Cisco/Linksys EA6900 and my modem is a Motorola SurfBoard SB6190 and both are functioning properly and with excellent connection to the internet and to my gaming PC.

One last bit of information is that on my gaming PC I have Windows 10 Pro (licensed) as my O.S. and I have full/licensed legitimate copies of MalwareBytes Anti-Malware as well as ESET Smart Security 9 Professional installed as my two Anti-Malware and Anti-Virus software applications. Inside these two applications I have forwarded the correct ports for both Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2, Origin, and all the necessary ports on both TCP and UDP. I also have Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware application exceptions added properly for all game executable files and all other types of game files and directories in both ESET Smart Security 9 and MalwareBytes Anti-Malware software. I don't use any Windows 10 built-in Anti-Virus or Firewall applications, ESET and MalwareBytes are the only two I use. I've even tried turning both firewalls off and turned off ESET and MalwareBytes entirely while trying to play BF1 and Titanfall 2 online, but the lag freezes and rubber-banding have continued today, even after several full system reboots and even more troubleshooting.

I am hoping that someone can help me understand if there is a problem with EA's/Origin's official BF1/Titanfall 2 game server or data center bandwidth, or if there is currently server over-population, overcrowding, or infrastructure problems on your end (EA) that are being actively investigated or taken care of if this is a common problem today. I am also hoping, that perhaps there are even more ports I can open up in my router or any other steps I can take on my end to try and fix these lag freezes.

It will soon be time to fire up your gaming PC for one of the biggest multiplayer game launches of the year: Titanfall. The hotly-anticipated title from Respawn Entertainment is set to launch March 11 on both PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360, bringing massive mech shooter combat into your hands.

But what sort of PC will you require to power the game? Respawn's Vince Zampella recently announced the minimum system requirements via Twitter, showing that you don't exactly need the world's most powerful system to jump into Titanfall.

Unfortunately no recommended system requirements have been revealed, which judging by screenshots and early footage of the game, might be a quite a lot higher. But if you're not aiming to run Titanfall on Ultra graphics settings, you will be able to play the game on fairly cheap hardware, likely as a by-product of the game needing to run on Xbox 360.

Respawn Entertainment has released a new trailer for its upcoming sci-fi shooter Titanfall 2 for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It focuses on the human pilots and what they can do in the game. Also, the system requirements for the PC version of Titanfall 2 have been revealed.

The new trailer shows off plenty of the parkour moves that the pilots can make in Titanfall 2, along with some of the new weapons and gadgets they can use in the game to take out both Titans and other enemy pilots. Also, the PC version's minimal, recommended and Ultra 4K 60 (FPS) hardware specs were revealed in a separate blog post:

All three versions of Titanfall 2 will also support Private Matches out of the box with spectator spots. Respawn does add that if your PC's hardware is below the minimal specs, it might still be possible to run Titanfall 2, but just not at what the developer would consider to be optimal in terms of graphics and performance.

There will also be a bunch of graphics options that can be changed in the PC version of Titanfall 2. You can check them out at the game's blog post. Titanfall 2 is coming from published Electronic Arts on October 28.

The system requirements for Titanfall 2 have gone out to the public and some people are questioning why they're so much steeper than the original Titanfall's system requirements. Well, there's a reason why the minimum specifications may be a little high and it's explained by Respawn Entertainment.
