Dear DeepaMehta Friends,

on Nov 25, 2010 DeepaMehta 3 v0.4.3 has been released and is available for download:
http://github.com/downloads/jri/deepamehta3/deepamehta3-v0.4.3.zip

DeepaMehta 3 v0.4.3 is a stable release for end users.
You can update a DeepaMehta 3 v0.4, v0.4.1, or v0.4.2 installation while keeping your contents.

NEW FEATURE

* Access Control: configurable access privilegs for users and groups.
Important: this feature is in experimental state and disabled by default. Activate it only with a separate test installation (not for your real content). The access control feature will be described in a separate posting.

IMPROVEMENTS

* Once the server start is complete the client starts automatically.
For the user it means after doubleclicking the DM starter script the DeepaMehta browser window appears. Opening a browser window and entering an URL is no longer required.

* GUI improvement: Create topics on-the-spot via canvas context menu.
Right-click the canvas and choose "Create Note" or whatever type is currently selected in the toolbar's type menu. Thus, the user has control about the initial topic position.

* Better search result rendering: Result topics are shown in a dedicated "Search Result" field.
Important when you've updated: use the type editor once to move the "Search Result" field right under the "Search Term" field. Otherwise the layout is not optimal. With a new DeepaMehta installation this step is not required.

* Better form layout: Text input fields and the WYSIWYG editor use the entire detail panel's width.

FIXES

* Related topics can be revealed if they are connected by more than one relationship.

* Deleting topic types removes them from menus.
