Pura Vida Amigos,

Pura Vida is the Costa Rican word used like Hawaii's aloha. The
literal translation is "pure life" but it is used as hello, good bye,
"cool", "right on", yes, looking good and more. You will here the
Tico's saying this phrase often when you come and explore Costa Rica
this October. There are special rooms reserved for those who want to
come see the Luz del Corazon Eco-Village Land during Deepa 's Medical
Spanish class & tour of Costa Rica. The hot springs resort where the
class being held is just 20 minutes from the abundant farm/forest
property, and Neal will be coordinating hiking and horse back trips to
the property while Deepa is teaching the class, Oct 18-22. There are
optional extension weekends to Arenal Volcano and Playa
Grande ( Leather back turtle egg laying season) for those
interested in a full Nature experience.

Looking around for flights , We are still finding great rates.
Flights from San Francisco, California to San Jose, Costa Rica are
running $527 round trip per person plus tax on Continental, Lacsa,
Taca and Delta ( on Taca with tax it came to $605, this is with one
stop). Before you book your flight make sure you look into all hidden
costs, fees and taxes. Sometimes booking a plane ticket is like trying
to figure out a cell phone bill, so many different parts to consider.

We are fresh back from the confirmation of the event locations, and
things are looking fantastic. The staff at the hot springs resort are
practicing English and ready for a "football" ( soccer) game with any
of us! The Playa Grande Hotel is just as beautiful as ever, with
wonderful food and a great surf break just beyond the swimming pool.
Arenal Volcano erupted for us in a truly natural fireworks display for
the fourth of July, and promises to continue the show, as it has been
since 1968. This is how Arenal Volcano earns the title of most active
volcano in the world.

This is a fantastic opportunity to explore Costa Rica, the first
country to promise to go carbon neutral, and the Eco-Village land
itself. Seeing the beauty of Costa Rica, the friendliness of its
people, and exploring the verdant splendor of the eco village land
is enough to inspire the most dejected soul in these times of
climactic changes. The neighborhood offers wind farms, hydroelectric
plants and a huge geothermal plant. The natural wonders of Costa
Rica, with the endangered giant leatherback turtles laying eggs, the
worlds most active volcano displaying nightly natural fireworks, and
the healing geothermal waters make this Fall the absolute best to come
and see if self sustaining off the grid life in the stress free "pura
vida" of Costa Rica is for you!
You can see basics of the tour schedule, photos, FAQ's and
registration information on the website www.deepahealth.com It is
listed as the Medical Spanish class, Eco village visitors do not pay
the medical Spanish course fee -- the fees include meals, lodging,
non alcoholic drinks, and transfers between the hotels and the hot
springs. We also have the class listed as a facebook event, for the
facebook users. There is also an option to stay in a rustic Tico
country lodge just a few km from the property, further up the mountain
than the hot springs resort. This lodge will give you a true taste of
rural Tico life, with its low tech approach to self sustaining living.
We are offering a special discount for the eco village potential
members, please feel free to email or call with more questions
( Neal 831-345-0345 or Deepa 831-234-5791).

Pura Vida,

Deepa & Neal
