Back in California with Great News and stories

Neal and I have safely arrived back in California after a two week business and fun trip to Costa Rica. We went up to the farm several times and checked on the status of the property, met with the land owner and many of his family members ( including providing scalp acupuncture treatments). We walked in the Rainforest with Don Felix Anguolo and his son Alfreado, checking on the spring boxes and the water pipes. We have become friends with the owner family, and have arranged another extension on the loan with favorable terms and much affection.
As the first unofficial act of our non profit foundation we gave away hundreds of ink pens, colored pens, crayons, and chalk to the local schools. We also gave a telescope and more colored writing implements to Marcos, the local teacher at the biological school. He was so delighted to receive the telescope, said it will be great for the kids to see the birds and animals better. He also asked permission to take tours of kids on our farm. I thought this was a brilliant idea, as this way Marcos will know our farm and its flora and fauna very well. I greatly look forward to the day when I get to take a hike through the forest with Marcos and discuss all the medicinal plants we have. Marcos also looks forward to that.
We had the great fortune to meet an English Professor from the University of Costa Rica in Liberia. He wants to help me get connected with Latina University in Santa Cruz, where they have a Nursing School, and would be quite interested in my Medical English classes. We also met many more of our mountain neighbors and look forward to more of the same. Some of the neighbors mentioned that in September two "rubios" <means light skinned north americans> came to the small village of Colonia Blanca near our farm, and were asking the whereabouts of "Neal Quick's" farm. Neal and I do not know who they are, wondering, was that one of you? We do have two blonde friends who live in Costa Rica, perhaps one of them came by. I hope if someone from the USA or outside of Costa Rica would contact us to make arrangements to see the farm, we can facilitate it and make it an easier experience than just asking strangers :)
I am also delighted to announce that Deepa Health now has a California Board of Registered Nurses Provider Number. We have secured a delightful hot springs resort for our first "Medical Spanish" class, the last week of February. This class is good for 20 contact hours for Nurses, Acupuncturists, Physical Therapists, Respiratory Therapists, Nurses Aides and more. The resort has 25 cabins, 12 or more natural hot pools including waterfalls, a waterslide, a swim up bar and an on site spa with 25 dollar one hour massages. WE are planning on offering a pre class weekend trip to Arenal Volcano ( Active & beautiful) and a post class trip to the beach. The class will also have two optional day trips, one to the rainforest with a guide from Marcos, and one to the Guanacaste Fiesta. Promises to be a fantastic trip!
Neal and I were fortunate enough to see the very endangered leatherback turtle lay 55 eggs on Playa Grande. I would love to take the class top see that, it will be the end of the laying season, so.....
We still have bio-bucks available, and they make such great gifts. A share of the rainforest, in your hands. Marcos also said he can hell coordinate groups of school children to help reforest our finca. Remember these bio bucks are oxygen futures, and c an be used for healing services and products.
Neal will likely be in California until after New Years and then head back to the finca. FYI New Years EVE is his fiftieth birthday, anyone have a great party suggestion?n I am in the Bay area until I finish this contract in Mid February.
