Medical Spanish Update & Reminder

Pura Vida is the Costa Rican word used like Hawaii's aloha. The literal translation is "pure life" but it is used as hello, good bye, "cool", "right on", yes, looking good and more. You will here the Tico's saying this phrase often when you come and experience the Tropical Immersion Medical Spanish Program this October. Tico is the term the Costa Rican Natives use to refer to themselves, and it is not in any way derogatory.
Looking around for flights , I am still finding great rates. Flights from San Francisco, California to San Jose, Costa Rica are running $527 round trip per person plus tax on Continental, Lacsa, Taca and Delta ( on Taca with tax it came to $605, this is with one stop). Before you book your flight make sure you look into all hidden costs, fees and taxes. Sometimes booking a plane ticket is like trying to figure out a cell phone bill, so many different parts to consider.
We are fresh back from the confirmation of the event locations, and things are looking fantastic. The staff at the hot springs resort is practicing English and ready for a "football" ( soccer) game with any of us! The Playa Grande Hotel is just as beautiful as ever, with wonderful food and a great surf break just beyond the swimming pool. Arenal Volcano erupted for us in a truly natural fireworks display for the fourth of July, and promises to continue the show, as it has been since 1968. This is how Arenal Volcano earns the title of most active volcano in the world.
