Hi ,
Buying a HOUSE , early or late , for living or investing is a BIG BIG decision !! In the recent past , I have received many queries asking me to assist with decisions related to buying a property . Since I work on numbers , the simplest thing I could do was to assume myself to be an investor , consider all the relevant parameters in case of certain pre-defined situations and conclude my finding . After putting these numbers, I could get a lot of clarity on the concept and understand deeper implications of this decision .
I have considered 4 scenarios
- Buying a self occupied property on loan
- Buying a property as investment ( letting it out) on loan
- Buying a self occupied or let out property on self funds ( not taking loan at all)
- Not buying a property at all and investing in financial asset . ( you can decide what return you want from the investment and analyse )
This is an attempt to provide an unbiased opinion . However , I may have missed out any critical points . Kindly go through the same and do let me know your opinion or findings . If this looks good , I could create an educative article on the topic and help spread the information to many . I am sure this is going to help you to in taking some critical decisions. We can also have a discussion over a meeting .
Best regards
