I had to go somewhere so I got him out from under my car and tried to put
him aside so I could drive away. No. I put him down, ran and got in the car
and he was right behind me. He jumped straight up into my lap with a look
that said, "This is fun! Pet me." The only way to keep him from getting run
over was to take him inside my house. That and it was 100° out there.
So now he's living with me and my other cat, wolfing down food like a
competitive eater.
This cat is almost all white. Pretty blue eyes. Declawed on the front paws
and fixed. Somebody's put some money into this kitty. He's got a bit of an
asthmatic wheeze at times but that's died down over the past few days.
I think he's had a bit of abuse. His whiskers are definitely trimmed, which
is a seriously bad thing to do to a cat, but when I found him some of the
whiskers looked like they had balls on the end of them which says to me that
they might have been lit on fire.
So I'm in a bit of a pickle. I want the cat to find his way home, but if the
owner is lighting the cats face on fire, no way in hell I'm giving him back.
I'm concerned that the wheezing and the melted whiskers could be related and
somebody has hit the cat with a hairspray torch or something.
Does anybody know who might have lost this cat and more importantly, do they
deserve such a sweet kitty?
Oh yeah, this is at Virgil and Crowdus, close to Adam Hats.

If you hear about anybody who lost a cat, lemme know.

...much to the chagrin of my 20 year old cat. He's not all that crazy about
the arrangement right now. He'll get over it, but not without a few more
hissy fits. What's more is that this one's getting comfortable enough to
start wanting to wrestle a little, while my cat's totally deaf and hardly in
any shape to take on El Gato Blanco in even a playful spar.

Totally possible, but still disconcerting. I think maybe he just was too
friendly and wanted to play with someone who shooed him away with a Bic
lighter.
