I would like to test virtual appliance with my box that have 8*4T disks so usable capacity is 28Tb (RAID5),

Also, is that appliance protected enough for WAN IP? or there a things that should be closed?

Can i use that license for tests, for example, on 2 or 3 boxes/VMs? or i need several of them for that (possible smaller capacity)?

No, it is definitely  not good for WAN IP. you better use some sort of IPsec or VPN

The version of OS used in  virtual allpiance is a little bit old. Security updates is no longer available (as i know). So do it at your own risc, but its better avoid that.

I dont know about number of boxes. License show capacity, so i think sum of all vm capacity must be equal or less than licensed.
