Hi all,

There is a new package gMCP on CRAN that plugs into Deducer.

------------------------------------------
gMCP: A graphical approach to sequentially rejective multiple test procedures

This package provides functions and a graphical user interface for
graphical described sequentially rejective multiple test procedures
------------------------------------------

Though it is in its early stages of development, it looks like a very
promising and interesting package.

As it makes it's way through CRAN, it can be installed with:
install.packages("gMCP",type="source")

More information including a vignette is available on the cran package
page: http://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/gMCP/index.html

Any fix yet for the Save as" option with the latest Deducer?
Crashes when trying to save PNG or other formats.

I am unable to replicate the issue on either mac or windows. has a
JGRError.log file been created. if so, attach it.

cheers,
ian

Ian,

found the error log and sent to your email address since Google groups
do not take attachments.

The error log was not very informative. just an unrelated bookkeeping error.

First, make sure all your packages are up-to-date using: update.packages()

Then restart JGR.

Try the following.
1. open JGR with only the default packages (not Deducer).

2. Enter:
plot(1:10)

3. Try to save as png through the "Save as PNG" menu item

4. Enter the following:
.jgr.save.JavaGD.as(png,2,"sass.png",units="in",res=72)

5. in JGR and in the regular R gui enter:
png("png.png")
plot(1:10)
dev.off()

Were you able to save through the menu? do you see sass.png in your
working dir? what about png.png? Any crashes?

Then try the same thing with Deducer loaded.

OK Tnx Ian

I have updated all packages early in the week.
So that part should be fine.

results of your test steps:

1. open JGR with only the default packages (not Deducer).

2. Enter:
plot(1:10)

Plots OK

3. Try to save as png through the "Save as PNG" menu item

CRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4. Enter the following:
.jgr.save.JavaGD.as(png,2,"sass.png",units="in",res=72)

5. in JGR and in the regular R gui enter:
png("png.png")
plot(1:10)
dev.off()

No crash.

The file sass.png is in the working DIR but is blank
The file png.png is the plot
No crash with that

Bruce

regarding the blank plot, can you try

plot(1:10)
.jgr.save.JavaGD.as(png,dev.cur(),"sass.png",units="in",res=244)

instead.

Ian,

That worked and saved the sass.png plot in working DIR.
If I try the Save as * option from the JavaGD window it crashes.
