The caveat to that proclamation is this: rather than thinking that the client is always right, realize that the client must always come first. Their needs, their goals, and what they are expecting as a deliverable should dictate how you move forward with any project or initiative that you are collaborating on. It's not about you...it's about them.
Inherently, we want to keep our client happy. We pride ourselves on the relationships that we cultivate. More often than not, we as a group tend to say, "Yes! Of course we can do that!" versus the more level-headed, " That could work, but there may be better ways to go ". You want to stand strong, but you don't want to be argumentative, which the client will appreciate in the end. They hired you for your expertise, not your ability to just say "yes".
The best way to do that is through open communication at all times. The client needs honesty and transparency. They may not like the news you are telling them, but they will respect the fact that you value the relationship and appreciate your straight-forward approach.
All of these projects you can create one time, and then make into a template! So, we have an editorial calendar template that has all of our columns, and we can just copy it each month and add all of the blogs (aka tasks) that are new for that month. Same goes for social. We keep our client requests project ongoing, as it is constantly changing and tasks are being completed and added all the time.
Then we have a spreadsheet that contains a long list of consecutively numbered projects prefixed by their 3 letter identifier (INS, FNS, EOE etc) We do this because we needed to be able to reference previous projects from our former project management system.
Each project is then progressed with tasks as per normal. We post Conversation topics using a naming convention to simplfy search. For example, if a press shot arrives for a project, we will create a new conversation thread entitled #EOE 2017 IMAGES and post the image there.
I have a third party WSDL, I need to write code in Java for a web service client to invoke the operations in the third party WSDL. Right now, I have generated the client stub using the WSDL2JAVA tool from Axis and used the XMLbeans for data binding.
The only reason Axis is still around is IMO because it's used in Eclipse since ages. Thanks god, this has been fixed in Eclipse Helios and I hope Axis2 will finally die. There are just much better stacks.
Hello All! We have a client facing dashboard (draft) setup, but we have not rolled it out yet. I have included a screen shot. We are in process of finalizing a more broad set of information. Pretty basic setup as of now.
I would like this to be a client eco system, where they get all of their information and do all of their communicating. I would love to keep them out of email. Some strategies we are considering include their own client sheet for questions? Do we allow them to comment on certain sheets? Does anyone have any best practices they could share? Also, we do have WorkApps, (but dont use it) is this the preferred method for better client messaging?
I do agree that Workapps may be a good solution if you have a lot of pages to surface (e.g. having multiple Report pages instead of Report widgets in a Dashboard, with one Dashboard summary as the first page). However if these users aren't a part of your Smartsheet plan then you'll need to have the Workapps Collaborator pack as well.
I opened a support ticket, but I can't close this pop-up no matter what I click or what browser I use and I'm wondering if anyone has any insight. I'm LOCKED OUT of my work because of some stupid UI refresh alert. ?
With that said, what does the general community recommend for a stable, support ACME client for windows server that has dns-route53 plugin support? Also, does anyone know when dns-plugins will be available for certbot?
Summary To provide the best-in-class encryption to our customers, the PowerShell Gallery has deprecated Transport Layer Security (TLS) versions 1.0 and 1.1 as of April 2020. The Microsoft TLS 1.0 implementation has no known security vulnerabilities....
There are many bundled DNS providers (some of which are via Posh-ACME, but route53 is native), there are also many bundled Deployment Tasks and IIS etc is a built in target that the UI has been optimized for.
Currently I use HTPC with Kodi as Emby client, however I'm not 100% happy with PQ, and there are lots of small issues (maybe mostly related to Windows). When it works it's great, but I often find myself spend lots of time to make the system operational, so I'd like to ask what device do you recommend if I want better user experience with the following requirements:
I *think* the Shield Tube issues are sorted now, but I'm not 100% - so if you want the best, get the Pro - there are definitely no issues there as I use it frequently as my main 4K / DV / True-HD Atmos / DTS-X Emby Client.
The ones I looked at all run Android (Z9X) - so emby should run on them without issues - maybe worth a look if the Shield Pro is not to your liking (I have not tested these myself) but this model was on my shortlist vs the Shield Pro. In the end I went with the Shield as it has solid emby support.
I had Zidoo before and must say PQ is above anything except for HTPC with MadVR., as I understand the company developed the player and optimised for the RD chip. I'm not impressed with their media organiser but I think it'd be a perfect solution if their media organiser integrates to Emby (as client).
.. and that is the bit I was not 100% sure of lol. Yes it's Android 9 and and yes, you can get the Play store - but would Emby get access to the 'specialist' chips in the hardware - likely not, and thus my decision to go with the Shield.

Another option is ZDMC, which is basically Kodi with their own player. I used this setup on my X9S for quite some time, the problems are (1) constant sync issue, so Emby Kodi add-on isn't very stable for me (2) when play with external player, Kodi doesn't know the progress, so when you stop it will mark the movie played.
From an emby perspective, the Shield Pro is THE goto client, and thus it generally gets all the latest Beta's and toys first. It was the first to get DV for example and is generally in front of the other mainstream clients from an look and feel perspective as well.
With no preferred gateway selected, I've seen a few cases where the GP client shows the gateway it's connected to instead of Best Available. From what I've seen the norm seems to show Best Available and you have to go into the GP client settings to see what Gateway your connected to. Anyone know why it's showing the Gateway instead of Best Available or has anyone else seen this in their environment?
Hey guys, What is the right way to work with customers: should we work locally in our monday platform and after we complete boards for them, transfer them to clients? Or maybe we should work directly for them in a workspace where we do all the requested boards for them?
Thank you
For example, I work in project management in the IT sector. In my line of work I use Monday as a combination of many things:
Kick- Off Tool and Jour Fixe Board
Gantt Chart and Work Breakdown Schedule
Managing absences and issues
Communications on work packages,
etc.
As you can see, I like to use it as a PM tool while also using it as a communications board to enable transparency for my clients while we can interactively work on a project together, see progress and can quickly tackle issues together or start escalation processes.
Once I decided it was time to go in another direction I began researching different business or client management systems such as 17hats, Dubsado, Honeybook, Iris Works, Sprout Studios, and Tve. Some of the things I considered when reviewing these companies were esthetic, features, and pricing. After comparing them all I narrowed it down to these three front-runners:
