Copies of the Windows GDL and Modeling Training Guides have been
placed in the Dropbox for Tutorials folder, replacing the Tutorial 1
guides.

Both the packed versions, as downloaded from the Graphisoft site, and
unpacked versions are available.
A - The packed version is what you should use to install the media on
your own computer.
B - The unpacked version has been provided for installation on a 2GB
(or larger) flash drive, or DVD, for greater mobility, if you expect
to use different computers, including Lab PCs.

With both options you should save your work as you proceed on your
computer's hard disk. Then copy the saved files, by dragging them to
your personal storage place at critical times, such as when you have
finished something. This is faster and safer than saving to remote, or
removable storage.

You are strongly advised to adopt working practices that ensure your
files are adequately backed up. As the semester progresses data
security will become increasingly critical.

Hi
I've been trying to download the review word document from the website
but it says the server is down and that the page is forbidden. If this
doesn't get fixed soon, would it be possible to put the document in
the dropbox?

Thanks
Sarah

I have uploaded a copy of the Modeling Review doc file to the Files
list on this site. I'll put another copy in the dropbox, now as well.

That's done.
The file is called: DECO2205-2009-T2-Modeling.rev.doc
So now, you can grab it from the FILES list here, or from:
\\Dropbox\for_tutorial\DECO2205_Principles of ArchiCAD\TrainingGuides

Thanks for doing that paul!

I just had a look at the review and there are no headings saying
"summary" or "personal thoughts and observations". does that mean we
have to put in the headings ourselves? Or do we just not have to do
that part?

That's an oversight by me. I think it is common sense to begin each
chapter with a summary and to avoid mixing facts with opinions, but
this isn't obvious to everyone. I'll put a corrected version up on
the Google site right away.

An updated version of the template file is now available from the
FILES menu.
Look for: DECO2205-2009-T2-Modeling.rev.doc (2)

In addition to the additional headings for summaries and observations-
impressions, I have clarified requirements for the Modeling component
(ie. the second part). Basically that means you are only expected to
do half of the exercises. You can choose these to suit your interests
or needs in relation to the Project.

Best wishes
Paul

The updated version of the template file is now also available from:
\\Dropbox\for_tutorial\DECO2205_Principles of ArchiCAD\TrainingGuides
Look for the folder: Updated_T2-Modeling.rev.doc

This copy has been provided for downloading in Faculty labs, as there
have been reports of difficulties downloading from Google Groups in
the Faculty.
