But I think you guess might be right, because I know that they wrapped up filming in July 2009, but that Alex went back in December 2009 to reshoot some scenes.
Maybe the one with Anthony was one of them. And that, that is why this one was not used.
Following an emotional goodbye scene, McGarrett is joined by a surprise returning cast member as they sit down for a plane ride to their next adventure. Michelle Borth returned to the show for the finale to play Catherine Rollins, McGarrett's on-again, off-again love interest. Borth was a series regular in Seasons 3 and 4, and she went on to make sporadic guest appearances after that. Rollins is revealed to have solved the cipher message McGarrett received from his lawyer for his late mother.
These cliffhanger scenes were cut when the producers were informed that "Aloha" would serve as the final episode of the "Hawaii Five-0" reboot. One such trimmed scene would have changed everything about the conclusion of the show.
Choosing to end the show with McGarrett and Rollins reuniting as a couple seems like a more fitting conclusion to the show over the abandoned cliffhanger. The scene would have segued nicely into a Season 11, but without a renewal, it's an unnecessary dangling thread.
Starting with two episodes ago, you probably recognize this guy from the chase scene with McGarrett. He was pretty stoked to be able to work with Alex and said on his IG that he was a joy to work with. That seems to be the common theme for anyone that has worked with him no matter what level of actor they are. From the young actor all the way to Carol Burnett and Ed Asner, they have nothing but good things to say. This is no surprise as he is a class act.
Another one from the same episode was provided by Musetta Vander who was the killer in this one. She caught a pic of Alex and Daniel in the jeep that they probably spent hours in the day of shooting the scene. Great expression!
This will be a show dads watch with their sons. The kinds of dads who let their sons stay up 'til 10, anyway. Alex O'Loughlin gets it right in an early scene, when the governor comes to him, and he sets her straight. Vintage Steve McGarrett. Newbies won't realize that McGarrett's relationship with new partner Danno (Scott Caan) is much more dynamic than the way James MacArthur played it, but their back-and-forth seems much more contemporary.
Monday's premiere episode breaks out of the gate with a jungle ambush that has the production value of a jillion-dollar movie. But watch for the secret, coolest scene in the entire hour, when McGarrett visits his father's house and pulls up a tarp covering something in the garage. Again, it works on its own, but if you grew up watching the original, you will turn to anybody else in the room and say.... cool.
As with any show, particularly one that's been on for almost a decade, there are many secrets behind the scenes of Hawaii Five-0. Whether it's why an actor decided to leave, or a problem with the police, there's a lot that the audience tuning in every week doesn't know about this sunny procedural drama. The trivia contained in this list won't necessarily change your opinion on the show, but it will give a lot of color as to why certain decisions were made - both by the cast and the network.
The final scene reveals Phillip living in suburban bliss with Michael's overweight adoptive sister. He takes some sandwiches she has packed for him and drives to the cottage in the woods, where he eats them with gusto, pausing to tantalize Michael, who is in a wheelchair, with one. Michael, starving and emaciated, begs Phillip to "feed [him]."

Last night I had the Sundance Channel on and this film called "Oyster Farmer" came on. I wasn't paying much attention until this incredibly sexy Aussie came on the screen and I found myself completely mesmerized by him. (I know I say that a lot, but seriously, he's something.) It seems he's named Alex O'Loughlin and he's gone on to do a lot of work ("Moonlight," "The Shield"), none of which I'm familiar with. By the time the film reaches its, um, climatic scene with Alex having sex outdoors with the sultry woman in the bottom picture -- in what might be the most graphic and erotic sex scene ever captured on (non-XXX) film, I was counting myself a full-blown fan. Apparently he has other more obsessed fans too. If you know more about him, please do tell!
Hey Kenneth
Thanks for linking to my Alex O'Loughlin blog. Glad you liked it (& him) enough to do so :) Isn't he yummy?!?
I've been an Alex fan for a long time. He is that rare combination... a gorgeous man who is also a talented actor. One of my fave things about him is how candid, funny & intelligent he comes across in his interviews.
You are soooooo right about that sex scene in Oyster Farmer! Oooooooo my ;> Alex came up with the idea for a movie about the feeder & gainer fetish. It's called Feed. Within the first minutes of the film, he is already nude. *swoon* Be warned tho, the movie is not for the faint of heart. Alex also has a hot sex scene during one of his episodes on The Shield tv show. They can't go quite as far as Oyster Farmer, but very close.
Wait.... didn't I say I admire his acting? All I've been talking about is his sensual scenes. He has that effect on me. *wink*
Speaking of sensual, Alex stars as Vampire Mick St John in Moonlight. He threw himself into the role. Working 18 + hours a day on the set. Makes me sleepy just thinking about it. The way he brought Mick to life is amazing! He acts with his entire being.
Sorry for rambling :) I just meant to say thank you!

The biggest player of all turned out to be Mexican land developer Cruz Pezuela (guest star F.J. Rio) who apparently has high-level involvement in the season-long conflict between Mexican and El Salvadoran gangs, may be involved in the disappearance of an undercover agent and ultimately, in the jaw-dropping final scene, gave Mackey the ammo he needs to stay on the force: an incriminating picture of Councilman David Aceveda (Benito Martinez).
Staten Islanders who don't want to come into Manhattan to see the Rockettes will find a nice substitute in this Christmas revue, which has scenes from the North Pole, Central Park, Lincoln Center, and Times Square. New Yorkers will find it worth the ferry ride just to see the fantastic baroque embellishments of the theater including multiple murals, tiled fountains, and two large statues flanking the proscenium. It's one of the true theater gems of New York City, rivaling the magnificence of any house on Broadway. In fact, the stage of the St. George Theatre doubled as Broadway's Shubert Theatre (home of Heaven on Earth) on NBC's Smash.
Indubbiamente sconsigliato a chi è facilmente impressionabile. [-]
