Sharing a paper Kriti Manocha and I wrote on “rejection-based” decision making that survived rejection and just came out in the Journal of Economic Theory. Here is the link:

In many situations, we do not know what we want but we do know what we don’t want. In this paper we formalize this reasoning by defining “worst” alternatives via the notion of a minimal set and study the resulting choice behavior.
