Dear DT community,

(Apologies in advance for cross-posting)

I wanted to advertise our next iteration of the online “Behind-the-Scenes" (BTS) seminar series (https://www.bts-seminar.net/) that we launched earlier this year with Vatsal Khandelwal at the University of Exeter.

It will feature Pietro Ortoleva on Tuesday, 10th June at 4pm UK time! To attend, you can register here: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/Ldbb6Vup49

What is a BTS seminar?

Unlike research seminars that primarily focus on results, this series emphasizes the challenges faced by researchers during their research journey, from the conception of the initial idea to the peer review stage. This includes 10-15 minutes of a traditional introduction to the paper, followed by 20-25 minutes of an informal discussion about the research process.

A unique feature of this seminar series is a live survey conducted during each talk, allowing the audience to compare their expectations of a paper’s journey with the speaker's actual experiences, fostering an open dialogue about the research process. You can find more details about the series (including our lineup of speakers) on our website here

If you missed the previous talks by Anna Dreber and David McKenzie, you can find them on our YouTube channelhttps://www.youtube.com/@btsseminar.

Feel free to share with anyone who might be interested.

We look forward to your participation! Let's talk about research differently ☺️
