Dear colleagues,

it is our great pleasure to announce the 14th Thurgau Experimental Economics Meeting (theem):

*Polarized Worlds*

25th-27th March, 2026, in Kreuzlingen (CH)

Keynote speakers: Erin L. Krupka & Gabriele Spilker

Our worlds – our communities, cities, and countries – are becoming increasingly polarized in many different ways. Rifts in media, narratives, politics, culture, and religion are just a few examples. With this, social cohesion is endangered. Inequality of opportunity and in-group favoritism are on the rise, and major threats to political participation, such as hate speech and violence, loom large. We invite experimental and theoretical contributions from economics, political science and other social and behavioral sciences to analyze the causes and effects of polarization in different areas.

Submission of extended abstract (max. 2,000 characters, or about 300 words) in .txt format to www.theem.ch: 14th January, 2026
Notification of acceptance: 10th February, 2026
Conference fee: EUR 200 (includes coffee breaks & conference dinner)

Please forward this call for papers to other researchers who might be interested in the topic. More information is available on www.theem.ch. For further questions, please contact us via in...@theem.ch.
