Dear all,

Apologies in advance for cross posting but I wanted to advertise a new online “Behind-the-Scenes" (BTS) seminar series (https://www.bts-seminar.net/we are launching this month with Vatsal Khandelwal at the University of Exeter.

This monthly seminar builds on a sister podcast called "Behavioural Science Uncovered" (https://bsuncovered.com/), which has featured over the years several active contributors to this forum including Tzachi Gilboa, Ariel Rubinstein, Aurélien Baillon, and Rani Spiegler.

We hope that many of you will tune in for our kickoff seminar featuring Anna Dreber on Monday, 17th February at 4pm UK time! You can register here: https://forms.office.com/e/FUgVh7Jqxi

What is a BTS seminar?

Unlike research seminars that primarily focus on results, this series will emphasize the challenges faced by researchers during their research journey, from the conception of the initial idea to the peer review stage. This will include 10-15 minutes of a traditional introduction to the paper, followed by 20-25 minutes of an informal discussion about the research process.

A unique feature of this seminar series will be a live survey conducted during each talk, allowing the audience to compare their expectations of a paper’s journey with the speaker's actual experiences, fostering an open dialogue about the research process. You can find more details about the series (including our lineup of speakers) on our website herePlease open it using your mobile data in case it doesn't work on your wifi!

We look forward to your participation in the seminar series :)
